Saving the planet
In the midst of all the excitement about the prom, I neglected to post about what I received in the shopping bag swap. My partner was Deb from Australia who sent me this cute sturdy tote.

Having a nice bag makes it much easier to remember to take it along to the store. I have used it for two days and avoided bringing home about 10 plastic bags. Just look how much it holds!

Now I want a few more for the major weekly grocery shopping trip. Fortunately I have some heavy fabrics in my stash and this great bag to use as a pattern.

An-Su, this pic is for you. It is an Arctic Queen Clematis that finally bloomed right outside my kitchen door yesterday.

that's inspiring. I think I'll make some bags for myself too.

That's a wonderful clematis !! Thanks for posting !

I also have a white one - mine is the snow queen variety I think - there are buds and I look forward to see the flowers.

And each time I see your posts, I repeat myself I should save for a sewing machine... :)

would be proud! I think these fabric ones are more functional than the knit ones I make because they have more shape to them. Not that I'm planning to actually make any soon, just know that what I have isn't best and if I'm ever inspired to make more, I know where to go for advice.
Thanks for a fun day yesterday! you're on my blog :)
